Aqua Restaurant Group provides the very best in memorable dining experiences. Under the creative vision of founder David Yeo and Richard Ward, since its beginning in 2000, the group has not only taken its home base in Hong Kong by storm but has also expanded to include landmark concepts in Beijing and London.

In Beijing, the group opened a landmark four-in-one concept in 2008, which comprises Agua, Shiro Matsu, Hex Bar and Fez Bar, while autumn 2009 saw the opening of the group’s first concept in Europe. Located in a landmark building off London’s Regent Street, Aqua London comprises aqua kyoto, aqua nueva and aqua spirit.
aqua restaurant group has received many awards and accolades over the years including a Michelin star for Hutong. It is also the only Hong Kong based restaurant group to have had two restaurants featured on the coveted Conde Nast Traveller ‘Hot Tables’ list.
In June 2013 and July 2013, aqua restaurant group opened Hutong and aqua Shard on the 33rd and 31st floors at the iconic Shard, respectively. Based on the much-loved restaurant of the same name in Hong Kong, regarded as one of the world’s leading Chinese restaurants, London is the first overseas location. Hutong’s menu captures the subtlety and surprises of Lu School cuisine inspired by the culinary styles of Peking, Shandong and Sichuan provinces. Since opening, the 130 cover restaurant has received critical acclaim from the press as well as winning a number of prestigious awards, including being named in the National Restaurant Award’s Top 100 list and receiving a three-tiered Pagoda in the Legacy of Taste awards which recognise the best Chinese restaurants in the UK. Aqua Restaurant Group now has 23 restaurants across Hong Kong, Beijing and London. In 2012, David Yeo was named Asia Pacific ‘Restaurateur of the Year’ by the prestigious World Gourmet Series.
David Yeo opened the first aqua restaurant sixteen years ago in Hong Kong. It proved so popular that today Aqua Restaurant Group has grown to over 25 venues spanning Hong Kong, London and Beijing.

In London aqua restaurant group spans three venues; aqua shard, aqua london and Hutong.
Aqua shard serves contemporary British cuisine and innovative cocktails from its main dining room, private event spaces and spectacular three-storey high atrium bar in a stylish and cosmopolitan interior with a backdrop of stunning views. Aqua shard is the largest restaurant in the London group serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, weekend brunch and dinner.
Set in a dramatic space on the top floor of the former Dickins & Jones department store in the heart of London’s West End, the original aqua in London comprises two large restaurants; modern Spanish cuisine in aqua nueva and contemporary Japanese in aqua kyoto. Each restaurant has its own large bar and stunning terraces which are hugely popular in the summer.
